knap /knæp/ transitive verb
to turn data into text.
Knap, is open source template language that turns data into Markdown using logic, variables, and filters. It powers templates in Obsidian Web Clipper and Obsidian Importer, and can be used in any app or from the command line. It also works well with my related project: Defuddle.
Knap is pronounced with a hard k. It’s named after knapping (with a silent k), the process of shaping stones to form arrowheads, scrapers, and other tools.
